A Day in the Lives of Kendra and Johnson
Look at me!! I'm Blogging!
April 1, 2007 SICK SICK SICK!

Well, this weekend was a complete bust!  It started early Saturday morning around 2:00AM when Johnson started puking his guts out!  His session lasted right into the morning!  I then woke around 6:00AM feeling a little queezy myself!  Then it was official... but 9:00AM I too was throwing up and having the dry heaves!  EWE!!  Every bone in our bodies hurt, and especially our abdomens where we both had our surgeries!  There are muscles in there that shouldn't be stretched like that yet!  OUCH!!!

I phoned my mom around 9:00AM and said we needed help!  Could they come and get the girls right away, and she did.  My little brother John was here 20 minutes later to acquire them.  What fun trying to get them ready to go.  It's a good thing they were good little listeners and packed all the stuff they needed with mommy just giving them instructions from my bed.  Every time I would lift my head, I needed to throw up.

Johnson had to call the transplant unit, as he was NOT going to be able to keep his 9 o'clock medications down.  You see... it is VERY important not to miss any dosages of your anti-rejection drugs.  The hospital was great and told him not to take any drugs until 12:00 noon.  Then he was only to take a certain amount... not all of them.  If he was able to keep them down for 1/2 hour he would be ok and wouldn't need to take them again should he throw up.

I spent the day commatosed in my bed, in and out of consciousness.  This for two days.  By late Sunday morning we were both doing much better.  Not feeling too nausious?  (I don't know how to spell that one!).

The girls returned home Sunday night around 5:00PM.  We managed to feed them and get them into bed by 7:30PM.  Now it's back to bed for me.

Since Saturday... my husband has lost a total of 7lbs.  His weight is now down to 166lbs.  I mean that is CRAZY!!!  I wish I'd lose 7lbs too! HA HA!!

Nope... I'm still hovering around the 130's.  I'm trying to get down to 125lbs for my sisters wedding in August.  I'm sure I can lose that last 5 lbs by then.  Just no more flu's for us please!  So watch out Ottawa.... this flu is going around at an incredible rate.  Almost everyone we know has had it... so take care all and we'll update you again when I can.

Cheers!
