Well... Johnson made it! He had his stent removed! Apparently it was far worse the fear of the unknown. Not to say it wasn't comfortable! HA HA!!! Johnson and I were laughing so hard yesterday as he explained to me what happened. So we get there, and the Doctor is running really late. Like 2 hours late! So we are there sitting in the waiting room with many others, when this CRAZY fella who is in a wheel chair is also waitin. I say "CRAZY" cause this guy was nuts! No teeth, smelled really bad, but took a real liking to Johnson and I. He chatted our ears off. The others waiting in the room in their gowns were laughing at all of us too! This guy was cursing like a sailor, and loved to talk about sex... he talked about larger people trying to get it on... and wondered how they could do that. I won't go into the graphic nature of it, but it wasn't pretty. Then he proceeded to say that he didn't think Johnson and I would have any of those problems. HA HA!! That was our waiting room experience for 2 and 1/2 hours. HA HA!
Then they take Johnson away. I think if there were any nerves before, they have gone away after our two hour chat with "Crazy!". I think now he is actually happy to be wheeled into his procedure. Johnson tells me... he had to lay down on the examining table in the operating room, and was then told to put his legs up in the stirr-ups! HA HA!!! I can just picture this! Just like every woman who's ever had a pelvic exam. You feel pretty exposed! HA HA!!! So everything is just hanging over the end of the table. They all chat in the room. The nurses tell Johnson that they are just going to sanitize the area, as they wipe him all down... down there!! HA HA!! I laugh cause I know how shy Johnson is.. and I know he is dying a thousand deaths! HA HA!!! Then the doctors puts in the tube, helps numb his little privates, and starts pulling. Johnson says.... he was uncomforatble but was glad it didn't take very long.
The picture you see above is Johnson in his wheel chair after his "procedure". As you can see he looks fine! So we laugh all the way home!
Then... he needs to pee! Oh oh! I hear him kind of screaming in the washroom! Apparently it hurts alot! HA HA! (Sorry... I should be more compasionate I know!). As he walks back to bed for our afternoon nap, I see him stop cold. He is paralized with pain! He needs to stop for a bit. Then it's back to bed and we both nap. I think he's ok, cause he hasn't mentioned the pain again since. Poor baby.
Well... just thought I'd update all of you on our latest adventure! We will chat again real soon!
