A Day in the Lives of Kendra and Johnson
Look at me!! I'm Blogging!
What's taken me so long? Monday May 14, 2007

Well helloooooooo everyone!  My apologies for taking so long to place an entry.  Alot has happened since I last entered into this Blog, so let's see if I remember everything that has happened.

The last week I was off before going back to work, I had all this nervous energy about the transition.  I couldn't sleep, and all I did was clean and organize.  I emptied our daughters bedroom and then decided they needed seperate bedrooms and then started painting!  I'm NUTS!  Johnson kept asking me if I was "Pregnant"... cause the only times I've ever been that mad to organize I was expecting a child any moment.

Well... that's not possible... so we will chalk it up to nerves.  So I worked myself into the ground.  The best part of my week was Sunday.  I finally took the girls swimming!  This is our most favorite thing to do as a family.  Johnson hasn't been well, so I went alone with the girls.  Man... just to have all that alone time and body contact with the girls was soooo soothing to my soul!  And I must say... to spend 4 hours at a public pool in all those chemicals and such, really did do wonders for my feet!  Who needs a pedicure!  Watch all that dead skin just fall off your feet at the pool, and it's left my feet sooooo smooth and soft!  HA HA!! Two for one... who knew?

I was so happy to be back at work, but alas.... my over doing it got the best of me now, as I welcomed in my first bad cold in over 5 months!  Oh yeah baby!  Me love work!!  HA HA!  I really missed my work family and it was so nice to be greated so warmly by everyone.  Oh... maybe they greeted me warmly because I brought 2 dozen Krispy Kremes to work with me!  Mmmmm.

I was a little nervous to get back into the swing of things, and mostly my first day was a write off.  Too much socializing to actually get any work done!  Tee Hee!  Then on Tuesday... I managed to lock myself out of every program on my PC.  My motto of the week was "Me Dumb Dumb".  But by Wednesday... I was back into the swing of things and it was as if no time had passed at all!

As I mentioned... Johnson hasn't been well.  He will be off for an additional 2-3 months recovering.  His white blood cell count is still very low, and his own body is very slow to produce more of them on it's own.  He needs the help of EPO injections still, but we are hopeful that in time his body will produce what he needs.  The kidney is functioning well, he is not rejecting it, but is slow to heal as most diabetics are.

He's been taken aback since our bout with the flu, and since he is so anemic, he get's winded and tired very easily.  He still manages to help me a little in the morning with the girls, then he tackles one small task for the day and then rests.

He was having some major muscle cramps in his hands and legs due to low phosphates and magnesium.  So it's the beer and pizza diet for him the next few weeks!  No joke... he really needs to have that stuff now!

He has developed a very bad cough, very flemmy??  But clear... chest x-rays and ultra-sounds show nothing wrong.  He's been on an inhaler for weeks now with no improvement.  Next... we will be off to the lung specialist for further investigation.  The last time that happened, we needed to get rid of our trusty cat "Squirter" whom we had for years.

I told Johnson... that if the lung specialist says his lung problems are because of allergies to our pooch Tasha... well that... he'd better start looking for a new place to live! HA HA!!  I mean really... the girls and I are so attached to that stupid dog... I think that Johnson really must go!  I've sacrificed enough already don't you all think? HA HA!!

The girls are doing so well, and I really enjoyed my Mother's Day breakfast in bed!  Honey nut cheerios for me! MMMMmmmmm.  I was shrouded with many hand made crafts and cards.  My favorite is the one Stephanie made me, which is a cardboard cutout of a drawing of me.  I must say I look really funky... In a good way!!  There is a small word balloon which reads on it... "You look 21 Mom!"  HA HA!!  So I've taken it into work and hung it on my walls!  Through the eyes of an 8 year old!!  God love them!

I'm very busy planning our Fun Fair and Volleyball tournament, looking for sponsors, prizes etc.  It's going very well and all dates are finalized. Wish Johnson and I much luck please, and say lots of prayers that we are able to achieve our 2007 goal this year.

Love to all of you!
