A Day in the Lives of Kendra and Johnson
Look at me!! I'm Blogging!
May 31, 2007 - What's taken me so long to update?

Well...now it's been so long since I've updated, I hope I don't forget everything.  I have been swamped with the planning of our 2nd Annual Family Fun Fair for Diabetes.  Soliciting sponsors to pay for the expensive event, and poor Johnson has been running around picking up cheques and helping to secure some amazing auction prizes that we will use in our September "Dine for Diabetes" Event.

He's scored some amazing items... I think we have approximately $2000.00 worth of prizes so far! Way to go babe!

I've been getting licenses, permits, co-ordinating all the activities for the fair, designing and printing of flyers and posters, contact all radio, local TV stations, local newspapers etc, to plug Team Diabetes and our fundraising this year!  Whoo Hoo!

Oh... and I turned 40 on Tuesday!  Oh my GOSH!  The photo you see in this blog is Johnson and I out at our favorite restaurant on Saturday night celebrating with a few friends of ours.  By the way... the cake reads... Happy 30th Birthday!  I guess they didn't want to embarasse me at dinner!  Me... ever get embarrassed?  NEVER!  HA HA!

Our little poochie TASHA had her surgery last Friday, and will no longer go into heat when sisters come to visit and take care of children!  Some of you will get that Joke!  No more diapers for Tasha!

Johnson we think is now VERY allergic to our Tasha, and perhaps we will have to give her away now.  Those who have followed along on this story... know that I didn't ever really want a dog.  I've never had a dog, and didn't like her very much in the beginning at all.  Not to mention we just got her and then one week later, Johnson started dialysis.

Well... now I'm the big SUCKER!  Cause I love that dog so much now!  She's helped me get through some pretty bad times, and now I have to get rid of her?  Johnson and I have had a HUGE fight about her.  I figure it this way... I think this family has sacrificed enough for Johnson, I mean, I gave the man a kidney... but I think I'll have to draw the line at the DOG!  I think it's time for Johnson to go!! HA HA!!  No but seriously... I'm very upset.  It's like he's ripping a child away from it's mother.   Ok... on a happier note... I still love my husband very much... I just have to hate him a little bit because he's making me get rid of the dog!

What else is new?  Work is fantastic, I love being back!  Johnson's health is stable, his kidney is doing great!  His lungs... not so good, until the dog is gone.  This week the doctor's have given Johnson a new inhaler with a steriod... maybe that will fix everything???  Yeah right!  I know what the future has in store for me!  Johnson's is still very anemic, and needs his blood cell counts to come up.  These blood cells produce oxygen in our blood and gives us energy!  Until then... more epo for him.

Must write speeches!! AHHH  So much to do... so little time... I'm freaking getting ready for the fair... then our trip to speak at Baxter corporation...then our Volleyball tournament... then my sisters wedding... then a few more events... then Hawaii!  What a ride!

I wish all of you health, love and happiness!  God Bless you and I'll try to write more often!
